On Sunday, I got the first coat of interior paint done. Since then I have completely resanded the entire interior, vacuumed and tack clothed the last bits of dust. Today I re-taped the boat for probably the 3rd or 4th time. 45 minutes of my time plus $2 of tape makes me look like a much better painter than I am. I love the instant gratification of exposing a beautiful clean edge as the tape comes off. I always pull it off as soon as I completed the painting. I don’t leave it to set itself in with the paint.
I also secured the rudder nuts and bolts. Added another layer of varnish.
All sanded and prepped for coat #2 of interior Kirby Sand.
THE AFTER SHOT – Looking good.
The sheer on this boat is remarkable Kirby #9 Blue goes on the remaining part of hull above the water line.
I like the elegance of the spacer blocks. Like a train of loaded coal cars,,,or the line up at a NASCAR event.
Bronze nuts and bolts arrived for the rudder. Llll
