      From my Blog: https://house-doc.net/Oonagh

The boat is built around a mold that is upside down. The mold is made from 1/2″ OSB and precision cut with a computer controlled router.

The hardback has to be completely level and square for each station to fit in the right slot. After the mold is built, the Bow and Transom are installed as the first permanent parts of the boat.

The bow and transom are made from 3/4″ Meranti plywood. Meranti is a tropical hardwood similar to Mahogany.
