I like MAS epoxies. I am a rank amateur boatbuilder and I used MAS on all of them. It was also the brand used by my instructor at the Wooden Boat School. So nothing scientific or backed by years of experience, just one man’s musings.

ALERT: When you lay down the epoxy, you have clamped everything in place…. Please Please be extra patient and really clean up the squeeze out. Get into all the nooks and crannies. I can’t tell you how many times I have seemingly gashed a finger rubbing the backside and hitting a sharp epoxy glob. When you do your fillets, make sure you really clean the edges.
I know better, I know I should practice what I preach. But, I do a lousy job of cleaning epoxy up while it is still workable. Most of my sanding time is working those areas where excess gobs of epoxy were missed in my cleanup. It never comes out perfect once hardened.
