I bedded the oarlock in 3M 5200 sealant and fastened tight with four #8 1” screws. God bless whoever rips that off the gunwale. Now I will continue building up layers of satin varnish.
I let the 5200 cure for a few hours, then came back with X-acto knife and cleaned it up. Everything trimmed out nicely
I can’t fathom this setup won’t provide years/decades of service.
