Structural Engineer by training. Long-time woodworker and furniture builder by passion. I am relatively new to boat building, but I have fallen hard for the beauty of these traditional boats. It started with a subscription to Wooden Boat and then a membership to OCH shortly after. I have a stitch 'n' glue kayak and a rowing wherry under my belt so far. I am also fortunate to live within a few hours of Port Townsend, WA, wooden boat capital of the West coast. Now I am trying to decide if my next project will be an Oughtred sailboat or a Devlin power cruiser. Maybe I'm even brave enough to attempt the AROHA on my own.
