Erica is a gifted teacher. Her explanations are precise and to the point. Great series. I assume she was using a bi-metal hole-saw to cut the SS.

Great series, showing skills that most people can learn if they are willing to get their hands dirty.
Erica does a good job keeping it simple. I don’t like seeing the lacquer thinner used for cleaning the oil because there are much safer solutions: Wash the parts and hands using Dawn dish soap and an old toothbrush, then clean the parts again with a TSP solution. I make knives as a hobby and this works great with no flammables to worry about.

How timely! I’m building a skin on frame sailboat and I’m in need of a custom traveler. I’m a metalsmith and jewelry designer and knew this was well within my skill set but it’s great to see another talented metalworker share their skills. Thanks Erica!

Very nice series – I had no idea you could cut through stainless plate using a hole saw, nor that many of these metal working tasks were well within the purview of a basic wood working shop.
