A "soul sailor" (coined today by OCH) is a sailor who sails for the sheer pleasure of sailing. Although they may still enter races occasionally, winning is not the soul sailor's main motive, since they scorn the commercialization of sailing. The term denotes a spirituality of sailing. (The term is borrowed from Soul Surfing, coined in the 1960's.) We've found that many soul sailors appreciate the grace and practicality of small sailboats like the Caledonia Yawl.
