February 27, 2015
Riva speedboats built on the shore of Lago d’Iseo in northern Italy are famous the world over for their style, design, performance and craftsmanship. The wooden versions have become collectors items and, like a classic Ferrari or Lamborghini, they combine Italian style with plenty of horsepower to offer a matchless ride. Here is a look inside the Riva factory during the heyday of wooden-hull mass production.
The photograph below of a twin engine Riva Aquarama was featured in the 2002 Calendar of Wooden Boats. I hope you enjoy the short video,
Here’s another great Riva video we posted a while back: Riva Aquarama Lamborghini 278 Restoration
