This River, by The Warren Hood Band

Thanks to OCH member Stephen Clark in Austin for turning us on to Warren Hood and this song. And thanks, Warren, for allowing us to use it for our River Home video.

You can learn more about Warren here, and a tip — the whole album is good, and there are links to purchase it on his website here.

Here’s his full website.

Thought the music sounded familiar – Warren’s father, and his Uncle Walt’s Band members were from Spartanburg, SC in the early 1970’s. And of course, they were preceded by the Marshall Tucker band also from what we locals call “Sparkle City”. Small world indeed.

That was great, cant wait to hear it on WXPN someday out of Philadelphia PA.

I recently ran across a beautiful 11′ 8″ sailing skiff drawing with a sprit rig by King and Davis, for plywood construction . Does anyone know of a source for plans of this attractive design?.

Love it. If this gets you going, check out Amanda Shaw. When we sailed around Cuba to New Orleans, we heard her at the Rock n’ bowl. We were blown away with this 15 year old… all grown up now.
